Martin-1Charles “Charlie” Martin
Associate Member
Since 1985

My father, Norman Keith Martin, served in the Royal Canadian Air Force as an air gunner during World War II.  His father, Donald Martin, served in the Canadian Army during World War I. Both my father’s parents were founding members of San Francisco Branch 25 back in the 1930s, with my grandmother serving as president of the Ladies Auxiliary in 1935.

martin-2I first joined Branch 25 in the mid-1980s as a bagpiper and I became a member of the Branch Honour Guard and served as Branch Chaplain. After several years of letting my membership lapse due to my work commitments, I am honoured to be a member again.

I joined to honour my father and his parents and to serve those who have sacrificed for our freedoms.
