In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation (MDFF) is following CDC and National Cemetery Administration guidelines for social distancing.
Unfortunately, the current situation does not allow our events at National, Veterans, and Local Cemeteries to be as they were in the past. To adapt to these guidelines, and in keeping with the Foundation’s mission to honor those who have served our country, we encourage all past and current volunteers to create their own Family Memorial Day Tradition and Tribute.
Here are some suggestions:
Place a flower order with your favorite florist. Explain that you intend to place flowers at a nearby cemetery. Local florists have always been great supporters of Memorial Day Flowers and will appreciate your business.
Order roses at https://www.memorialdayflowers.org/family-tribute/. The Foundation has arranged to have roses shipped directly from a farm to your address. Available in three sizes (50, 125, or 250 long stem roses). Your roses will arrive via FedEx on Wednesday 5/20 or Thursday May 21. Your purchase supports the placement of another 25 flowers at Arlington National Cemetery.
