The event occurs on the Sunday closest to Remembrance Day at 3:00pm in Grace Cathedral, 1100 California St, San Francisco, CA. This year the event was held on Sunday, 11 November.

As the Royal Canadian Legion have been partners in this event, we wanted to pass along this notice that was taken from the November newsletter of the British Benevolent Society.
Please note that Royal Canadian Legion US Zone, Branch #25, representing the San Francisco Bay Area, will also be participating in an annual ceremony – the Festival of Remembrance – traditionally organized by the Royal British Legion at Grace Cathedral (but this year being organized by the British Benevolent Society).
This cherished annual ceremony commemorates all who have lost their lives in armed conflict and commemorates the day known as Remembrance Day or Armistice Day. The service includes the deeply moving cascade of thousands of poppy petals onto the altar as Amazing Grace is played on the bagpipes.
The San Francisco Bay Area branch of the Royal Canadian Legion also participates each year, and will do so again this year. This year’s ceremony will be held on Sunday, 12 November at 3:00pm.
