Earlier today the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) – Arkansas Division held their 2026 Annual Inspection at U.S. Coast Guard Sector San Francisco on Yerba Buena Island.  As one of the sponsors of this cadet corps, Branch President Michael Barbour was on hand for the event to present the corps with our annual sponsorship and to present the Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence.

This year’s Royal Canadian Legion Cadet Medal of Excellence was presented to Able Cadet Leah Morris. During the presentation, CO Gabriel Mikulich spoke of how this award is rarely given to a Navy League Cadet, but that ABC Morris exemplified the characteristics of the award so well that it was impossible to make any other choice among the corps.

The event began with the formal annual inspection of the cadets.
