Merry Christmas from your Legion
As the new year fast approaches, we would like to recognize the many things the Legion has accomplished in 2022 — like the return of the Legion Nationals, a growing memorial banner program, the strengthened focus on youth and Remembrance, and another successful Poppy Campaign. We deeply appreciate the countless volunteers and staff who not only keep things running smoothly, but are constantly cooking up new ideas. It’s no secret that it’s thanks to Branches like yours that we are able to serve Canada’s Veterans and families and support our communities.
On behalf of everyone at the Legion, we would like to wish you and your family Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a wonderful 2023!

Can we count on you to join us on December 17th?

Members are encouraged to attend this event at the National Cemetery at the San Francisco Presidio, followed by a no host luncheon at the Presidio Cafe.

Arlington Cemetery

 Dear Michael Barbour,

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our year long mission to Remember, Honor and Teach, is in part carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 3,600 participating locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. We trace our organization’s history back to a wreath-laying event held at Arlington National Cemetery in December of 1992—more than 30 years ago!—and today it has grown far beyond that small act of remembrance to become an international movement supported by hundreds of thousands of volunteers honoring the sacrifices of millions of our nation’s heroes.

Laying a live, balsam veteran’s wreath on an individual headstone for one of our fallen heroes and saying their name out loud is a unique and individual experience. It is a small gesture of gratitude for the freedoms Americans enjoy each day, and we are so proud to play a part in making sure that the legacy of duty, service, and sacrifice of each veteran is never forgotten.

Can we count on you to join us on December 17th?

Will you take 10,000 steps a day to support our nation’s heroes?

An item from the organization formerly known as There But Not There.

Hi Friend
We would love to invite you to join our 10,000 Steps a day challenge this January!🚶‍♀️This challenge is the perfect opportunity to start your 2023 on a positive note – you can start any day in the month of January. Can you take on 10,000 steps a day for 31 days?

But of course, this is no ordinary challenge as this challenge has symbolic significance: 10,000 steps, over 31 days, totaling approximately 155 miles. This was the distance travelled by our Tommies during the fighting retreat to Dunkirk.

Sign up to the 10,000 Steps challenge today!

What do you get?

When you sign up to take part in your 10,000 Steps challenge and receive your first donation, you will receive a FREE fundraising pack complete with your 10,000 Steps t-shirt. You also get useful downloads, fundraising tips, and information from our team that will support you every step of the way.📖

Within 10 days of receiving your first donation, your pack will be sent to you by veterans employed in our social enterprise factory, Britain’s Bravest Manufacturing Company.

Sign up to the 10,000 Steps challenge today!

Why we need you to take on this challenge

Every pound raised from your 10,000 Step challenge helps to support the UK’s most vulnerable veterans by allowing RBLI to provide safe homes and the support they need to get back on their feet. RBLI has ambitious plans to expand the outstanding facilities, care and welfare services we provide.

The major expansion, scheduled for completion in 2024, will vastly increase the unique mix of homes for veterans and their families. When complete, our expanded Village will mean RBLI can support an additional 600 veterans annually for the next 100 years.

Sign up to the 10,000 Steps challenge today!

We can’t wait to see you do your 10,000 Step challenge!😊
