How Do You Live With Purpose?

An item from the Wreaths Across America organization.

Dear Michael Barbour,

We’re excited to announce our 2024 theme, “Live with Purpose.” Over the course of the last year, and then especially on the escort to Arlington last December, I listened to people who had gone through great adversity.

They’d taken that adversity and turned it around as a call to action to spend the rest of their lives making sure that every day was meaningful and that they lived purposefully. For me, to live with purpose is a mindset. You can read more about our 2024 theme here, or listen to my interview on Wreaths Radio here.

With gratitude,

Karen Worcester

Remember, Honor, Teach: Together, We Made a Difference

On behalf of the Wreaths Across America organization and our family of volunteers and supporters across the country, I want to personally thank YOU for your support of the mission to Remember the fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

During this year’s National Wreaths Across America observance, more than three million dedicated volunteers – a third of whom are children – placed THREE million veterans’ wreaths at 4,225 participating locations across the country. That is more than 500 new locations added to the program since last year! Specifically, at Arlington National Cemetery where this all began, 260,000 veterans’ wreaths were placed by more than 30,000 volunteers on a truly gorgeous day.

As I think of those numbers, each of those headstones representing a LIFE of service, and each of those volunteers saying each servicemember’s name out loud and sharing a small gesture of gratitude for the freedoms Americans enjoy, I am immensely humbled. I am also truly overwhelmed with pride for the people of this great nation where so many individuals and communities can come together in unity and support for those who have protected our freedom. And most important to me, so many children were taken by the hand and introduced to these men and women and taught about the cost of freedom.

I will say it again: THANK YOU. Thank you for your volunteerism, your sponsorships, and your help in sharing the mission all year long!

Thank you most of all for taking the time during this busy season to join us in letting veterans and military families know that their service and sacrifice are both seen and appreciated and that they are not alone in their loss.

Remember. Honor. Teach.

With gratitude,

Karen Worcester

Wreaths Across America 2023

REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

Earlier today members of Branch 25 attended the annual Wreaths Across America event at the San Francisco National Cemetery at the Presidio.  Our US Navy Sea Cadet Corps – Arkansas Division participated in the event.  Below are some pictures that members took, as well as some we found online, and some video from the event.

Help Us Fill Our Trucks

An item from the Wreaths Across America organization.

Wreaths Across America

Thank You

One moving aspect of the Wreaths Across America mission is the contribution of our nation’s trucking industry. As you read, over 700 trucks are traveling to and from Maine to ensure the delivery of sponsored veterans’ wreaths. All those miles, over 1 million, are donated by each trucking company.

Another moving revelation comes from drivers who realize their actual cargo is not only wreaths but really honor and respect for our fallen heroes. For that reason, we work with these drivers to safely load their trucks with as many wreaths as possible.

If you are receiving this message, space exists on trucks headed to your area. Please help us fill these trucks by taking one of the following actions:

  • Share this Message: Please forward this message to family and friends in your area and request they click below to sponsor wreath(s) where most needed:

  • Sponsor Wreaths: If you have not yet sponsored wreaths, or if you can sponsor more, please click one of the following links:

  • Volunteer: If you want to volunteer to place wreaths, please click our Location Finder to find a participating location near you.

Please remember, if we run out of space to ship a wreath to the location you support, the location coordinator may redirect your wreaths to another location in need or save it for next year.

Finally, we’ve included below some of our favorite photos that will give you a feel for the dramatic contribution of our truckers.

Thank you so much for helping us fill our trucks!
