This week we prayed for our neighbors on the islands and along our southern coasts. And yesterday we prayed for those we lost, and the families and friends left behind the tragic events of 9/11.

Perdue Farms has supported the Wreaths Across America mission for 11 years, and Tim’s been involved for the last six years since joining the Perdue team.

Like the balsam fir tree that holds his dog tag, Roger Donlon stands tall and quiet. Wreaths Across America had the honor of getting to know more about Roger recently and the medal he received.

Back in 2011, Jersey Mike’s Subs created the following video to help tell the world about Wreaths Across America, from the perspective of then National President of the American Gold Star Mothers, Ruth Stonesifer. This one video has introduced thousands to the mission to Remember, Honor, and Teach.

Cherry Hill, N.J. (PRWEB) August 22, 2017 — NFI, a leading supply chain solutions provider, has announced a partnership with Wreaths Across America (WAA), a non-profit whose mission – Remember, Honor, Teach – is carried out in part each December with the placement of veterans’ wreaths on every marker at Arlington National Cemetery, and at more than 1,300 military cemeteries nationwide.

On September 9, 2017, the Stonington Ride for the A-T Children’s Project is planning to stop and visit the Wreaths Across America Headquarters and Museum. As part of their visit, the group will participate in our Stem to Stone Tree-Tagging program.

As we’ve been showcasing our professional drivers and their companies in our “Trucking Tributes” series, we’ve come to understand the foundation of strong family ties, hard work ethic, patriotism and pride from which these companies have evolved as they move America, and over a million veterans’ remembrance wreaths.

We talked the efforts around honoring CA veterans all the participating locations in or near San Diego (Fort Rosecrans, Miramar, and even Riverside CA) as well as sharing the stories of several Medal of Honor recipients buried there.

Kevin says driving Armellini’s load of wreaths in the escort to VA National Cemetery in Lake Worth along with the Walmart trucks is a meaningful experience for him emotionally because of honoring veterans, but he says there’s also a more physical kind of excitement as a professional driver.

On Saturday, July 29, 2017, members of the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (the Old Guard), including unit Commanders, the U.S. Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps, Continental Color Guard and the U.S. Army Drill Team, will be in Downeast Maine to participate in a veterans remembrance tree-tagging event.

This performance in December of 2016 by members of the Kennebunk Elementary School’s Kids Chorus inspired the 2017 theme for Wreaths Across America, “I’m an American!”

Many WAA supporters will recognize the support that Walmart has given each year, particularly on the transportation side of things as they donate time, fuel, and equipment to help deliver the wreaths nationwide. Many of the Walmart drivers are selected in recognition of their own years of military service. In addition to supporting the WAA mission on the transportation and logistics side, the Walmart Foundation also sponsors over 10,000 wreaths placed at a number of participating locations including Arlington National Cemetery and Fayetteville National in Arkansas.
