Hello Friend
Keep supporting veterans over the festive period
Help us provide continued support over Christmas when people need it most.

There are still plenty of ways to back the RBLI cause over the Winter months. We are lucky enough to have some amazing partnerships with people and businesses around the UK and you too can get involved to pledge your support to our veterans; either in an energetic way, or from the comfort of your living room.

Support Tommy on his MINI Mission this Christmas!
Tommy’s MINI Mission gives you the chance to own a brand new car this New Year!

The more tickets you buy, the better your chances of winning and, with all funds raised assisting with the new Centenary Village, it is all for a worthy cause. Our ambition is to create more high-quality facilities and services necessary to offer another 100 years supporting vulnerable people.

Leyton Orient Auction 3 Unknown Tommy Statues
Leyton Orient has launched the auction of 3 Unknown Tommy statues that commemorate the 3 Clapton Orient players who lost their lives in WW1. These statues were created especially for a Remembrance ceremony that took place before kick-off at the Hartlepool match on 30th October.

Produced by our veterans at BBMC, the statues commemorate the lives of Private William Jonas, Sergeant Major Richard McFadden and Private George Scott and you can now bid to own these with starting bids of £175. All proceeds are being donated directly to the O’s home shirt charity partner and our very own, Tommy Club.

Wreaths Across America – San Francisco National Cemetery

REMEMBER the Fallen. . . HONOR those who Serve. . . TEACH our children the value of Freedom.

San Francisco National Cemetery at the Presidio of San Francisco’s Wreaths Across America Page.

On December 18, 2021 at 11:00 am, our U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps (USNSCC) Arkansas Division participated in the Wreaths Across America that was held at San Francisco National Cemetery at the Presidio of San Francisco to Remember and Honor our veterans through the laying of Remembrance wreaths on the graves of our country’s fallen heroes and the act of saying the name of each and every veteran aloud.

Wreaths Across America – Mare Island Naval Cemetery

Posted on behalf of Comrade Charles Martin.

Today I had the pleasure to join Past President, Fred Rutledge at a very nice ceremony by Wreaths Across America held at the Mare Island Naval Cemetery. There was a very good crowd for such a service and all the branches of the Armed Forces were represented. Commander Bryan Dearolf, USN, gave a very thoughtful key speech. After the ceremony, those in attendance quickly laid about 900 wreaths.

This cemetery is the oldest naval cemetery on the west coast, with graves dating back to the 1850’s. Of note is the grave of the daughter of Francis Scott Key and three Congressional Medal of Honor recipients. Fred has noted in past Legion meetings the recent efforts to clean up this cemetery over the past couple of years. It certainly is worth a visit and worthy of everyone’s continued support.
