About Michael K. Barbour

Michael K. Barbour is the Director of Faculty Development and a Professor of Instructional Design for the College of Education and Health Sciences at Touro University California. He has been involved with K-12 online learning in a variety of countries for well over a decade as a researcher, teacher, course designer and administrator. Michael's research focuses on the effective design, delivery and support of K-12 online learning, particularly for students located in rural jurisdictions.

Walter Tull (1888–1918) was a trailblazer as one of Britain’s first black professional footballers and Army officers in World War I.

Despite racial barriers, Tull served as a lieutenant in the British Army, leading  troops before being killed in action in 1918, and his legacy continues to inspire as a symbol of resilience and courage.

Episcopal Church of St Anne – Remembrance Sunday

Yesterday (10 November) the Episcopal Church of St Anne in Stockton, CA held their 25th Sunday after Pentecost service, which was also their Remembrance Sunday service.  The congregation wore poppies provided by Branch 25, and their rector even read John McCrae’s poem  “In Flanders Fields” in her sermon.
