Luc Levesque | Product Group Lead at Facebook | Palo Alto, CA Prior to Facebook, Luc Levesque founded TravelPod, worked at Expedia, and was an executive at TripAdvisor. Now, Luc is leading a product area at Facebook, and serves as an advisor to companies like Twitter, Pinterest, and Quora. Luc’s early life and career revolved around tech, and now he is able to use his passion to not only connect people in online communities, but face to face as well. C100 team in Toronto this week This week, founders joined the C100 team and Toronto-based Wave Co-Founder and CEO Kirk Simpson for a Founders’ Dinner in Toronto. Kirk spoke candidly about his entrepreneurial journey and recent $405 million USD Wave exit. The C100 team was excited to see Canadian entrepreneur and 48Hrs in the Valley alum Eva Wong (bottom left) speak on stage at Elevate. C100 Icon of Canadian Entrepreneurship Award Each year, C100 awards an “Icon of Canadian Entrepreneurship” (ICE) for their impact on the world of technology and on the Canadian entrepreneurial community. This year on August 27th, the award was given to Co-founder and COO ofCloudflare– Michelle Zatlyn! With Cloudflare, Michelle is leading the charge to make the internet faster, safer, and more reliable – and doing so at a pivotal moment where public concern and scrutiny about cybersecurity is at an all-time high.
