Get Involved in the #TechBet!

The rivalry is heating up between the Toronto Raptors and the Golden State Warriors. With the series tied at 1-1, the anticipation for tomorrow’s Game 3 is building.

Both tech communities are boosters of their teams and their local communities. In celebration of this historic playoff moment, sf.citi and TechTO have launched a tech ecosystem-vs-ecosystem bet.

Each organization is putting up the first $10,000 for their city and challenging local technology communities to up the ante with a goal of raising the stakes to $100,000!

Learn More & Join The Pledge Here!
If the Warriors win, all pledges go to Circle the Schools, an organization that helps advance student skills in literacy in elementary school, STEAM in middle school, and college and career readiness in high school.

If the Raptors win, all pledges go to Canada Learning Code, an organization supporting workforce development initiatives for women, youth and other underrepresented minorities across the country.

Several prominent technology leaders – like Ron Conway, an early backer of Google, Facebook, Twitter, and more – have already joined the bet and more are joining as it spreads on Twitter using the hashtag #TechBet.
