for a Canadian Online Publishing Award. The site tells the story of two
U.S. ships that ran aground in a storm and were pounded apart
on the rocky shores of Newfoundland’s Burin Peninsula on a winter
night 75 years ago. Sailors struggled to leave their sinking vessels
while local people risked their own lives to save them.
