What makes us Americans? What does it mean to be Free? These questions seem to come up often in my discussions over the years.
As we pause as a nation this Veterans’ Day to say Thank You to our service members who have fought and still fight to uphold American values, I encourage you to look deeper into your own family history and share the stories of your own heritage. By sharing our history, we are able to TEACH the next generation. With the Wreaths Across America program, the memory of each veteran is kept alive through the saying of their names and by being a witness for those who have come before us.
Join us this November in sharing this history. Please submit a story or details about a veteran from your family, or submit your answer to the questions posed above here or by clicking the button below.
In order to help the next generation map their future, it is important to remind them of their heritage, which is the past.
Remember, Honor, Teach
With gratitude,
Karen Worcester
Executive Director

As an Army wife and granddaughter of a WWII veteran, Julie takes solace in knowing that she is a part of something bigger that will be around long after she is gone and that those she loved who served will not be forgotten. “WAA does not just honor the veterans we take it a step further and make sure that their stories are remembered as well!”

We’re on a mission to remember, honor and teach. Join us by sponsoring a wreath to be placed in honor of a veteran this December. We’ll ensure that their sacrifice is remembered yet again and passed on to a new generation of Americans.
