The 7th Annual Veterans Art Exhibit at Atelier Gallery and the Honor Our Fallen Concert at SF Jazz Center kick off this year’s Fleet Week. Tour ships, visit the Humanitarian Assistance Village on Marina Green, and don’t miss K-9 Heroes, the Air Show, and the High School Band Challenge!

“Honor Our Fallen” Tribute Concert @ SF Jazz Center
CONCERT  WEDNESDAY 9 OCTOBER, 6 p.m.

Come and enjoy a concert by the 1st Marine Division Band at SF JAZZ CENTER, 201 Franklin Street. This special program, presented by the San Francisco Fleet Week Association, recognizes the sacrifice of service members who volunteered to defend their country and gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Commemoration of Grenada
with Major General Ray Smith, USMC (Ret.)

COMMEMORATION  WEDNESDAY 23 OCTOBER, 6 p.m.

On 25 October 1983, President Reagan, citing the threat posed to American nationals on Grenada by that nation’s Marxist regime, ordered the US Military to invade and secure their safety. MajGen Smith commanded the BLT 2/8 in Grenada, where American forces successfully completed Operation Urgent Fury.

Pups4Patriots Luncheon – Hosted by American Humane
CELEBRATION  THURSDAY 7 NOVEMBER, 11:30 a.m.

Join us at this special event honoring our nation’s 2- and 4-legged heroes, including service dogs and their veteran handlers. A program of American Humane, Pups4Patriots rescues shelter dogs and trains them to become lifesaving service animals for military veterans struggling with the invisible wounds of war.

244th Marine Corps Birthday Ball
CELEBRATION  SATURDAY 16 NOVEMBER, 6 p.m.

Join us for an evening of commemoration and celebration with cake cutting ceremony, formal dinner, dancing and live music! Our Guest of Honor is Secretary of State George P. Shultz, former Major, USMC, and longtime MMA member and supporter. There is a 2-night guestroom minimum – must have tickets to the Ball.

Korean War Commemoration

Our guest speaker is Dr. Bruce Bechtol, Jr., President of the International Council on Korean Studies and author of North Korean Military Proliferation in the Middle East and Africa.
