On July 26, Republican President Donald Trump declared transgender people personae non gratae in the U.S. military, reversing a decision
made under his Democratic predecessor, Barak Obama.

Within hours, the Canadian Armed Forces made its
position clear in a tweet: “We welcome Cdns of
all sexual orientations and gender identities. Join us!”
