As our secretary/treasurer works at Touro University, California, we wanted to share with you the latest newsletter from the Mare Island Museum.


Attached is the September 2017 issue of Farragut’s Press, the newsletter of the Mare Island Museum.  In this issue you can read about the role of women in the Navy and how it has changed; two new books, on on the Mare Island Cememtery and the other on a more lively place, lower Georgia Street; and a second look at the tragedies of the Thresher and Scorpion  which were featured in the last newslteer

Michael K. Barbour is Associate Professor of Instructional Design for the College of Education and Health Sciences at Touro University California. He has been involved with K-12 online learning in a variety of countries for well over a decade as a researcher, teacher, course designer and administrator. Michael's research focuses on the effective design, delivery and support of K-12 online learning, particularly for students located in rural jurisdictions.
