One of our members sent this along to me, and we wanted to share this with all our members.
Dear Friends,
You are cordially invited to join us at the Korean War Memorial at 11:00 am on Friday, June 25, 2021, for a commemoration of the 71st anniversary of the start of the Korean War. We are pleased that the Presidio Trust is allowing us to hold a public event at the Memorial once again, and we hope you will join us. Please see the attached invitation and site map for details.
This commemoration will honor all who served and sacrificed in that long-ago, faraway war, with a special remembrance of John R. Stevens, Lieutenant Colonel, USMC (Ret.), April 22, 1921 to May 25, 2021. John served our country faithfully in two wars, from Pearl Harbor in 1941 to the Chosin Reservoir in 1950. And as the Co-Founder of the Korean War Memorial Foundation, he was the driving force on behalf of the Memorial for over a decade. He will be remembered, and he will be missed.
Thank you. We look forward to seeing you at this special gathering on
June 25.
Respectfully,
Gerard Parker
