Tomb of the Unknown Soldier 100th anniversary commemoration

An item from a fellow veterans organization in the Bay Area that may be of interest to our members.

Dear Michael,

On November 11, 1921, an unknown soldier was brought home from the battlefields of France and interred in the plaza of the Memorial Amphitheater.

The Memorial Day Flowers Foundation was selected by the Arlington National Cemetery administration to procure the flowers for a once-in-a-lifetime event commemorating the 100^th anniversary of the Tomb of the Unknown Solider.

The commemoration will take place November 9^th and 10^th, the two days leading up to Veterans Day. For the first time since the inauguration of the Tomb, visitors will be allowed to walk on the plaza. Flowers will be made available to every visitor to place at the Tomb.
