Service, Community, and Member Value
|
| |
This month, we’re highlighting just a few of the many ways the Legion continues to make an impact — from supporting Canadian Armed Forces members abroad to strengthening communities at home, while also offering meaningful benefits to our members.
Across the country and beyond, the strength of the Legion is reflected in the actions of its members, volunteers, and Branches every day — and in the opportunities available to you as part of this national community.

Supporting Our Troops
|
A recent initiative in Windsor-Essex saw more than 200 care packages sent to deployed Canadian Armed Forces members — a powerful example of the Legion’s ongoing commitment to those who serve.
Driven by local volunteers and community support, this effort helped ensure that Canadian troops abroad feel recognized and supported. It’s one of many ways Legion branches continue to make a tangible difference.

The Legion Branch as a Community Hub
|
While the Legion was founded to support Veterans, local Branches have long played a broader role at the heart of communities across Canada.
Over the years, Branches have served as gathering places — hosting events, supporting local initiatives, and bringing people together in times of both celebration and need. From fundraising efforts to community programs, their impact often extends well beyond their walls.
This strong connection between Branches and their communities remains a defining part of the Legion today, reflecting the spirit of service that continues to guide members across the country.

| Presenting the “Legion 100” Tulip |
Infused with Remembrance red and featuring white edges reaching skyward, the all-new Legion 100 Tulip celebrates our first century and looks forward to our future. The symbolic flower was chosen in collaboration with the Canadian Tulip Festival, which literally grew from the Netherlands’ gratitude for Canada’s key role in its liberation during the Second World War.
