National Peacekeepers’ Day 

Last month, just like every August since 2008, Canadians recognized National Peacekeepers’ Day on the Sunday closest to August 9. For it was on that date, on 9 August 1974, that nine Canadian peacekeepers were killed when their United Nations-marked Canadian transport aircraft was shot down in the Middle East.

Ketamine research study for Veterans living with chronic pain, PTSD, or both

Researchers at Queen’s University are looking for Veterans aged 18 to 65 who are living with chronic pain, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), or both to participate in a study about ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and mindfulness therapy.
