An update from the Wreaths Across America organization. Be sure to join the Branch as we support our U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps – Arkansas Division at the event scheduled for the San Francisco National Cemetery at the Presidio on Saturday, 19 December 2026.
In the coming days, we will recognize two important occasions: Election Day and Veterans Day. While each has a different purpose, I believe they share an important message about freedom and responsibility.
On Veterans Day, we honor the men and women who have served and sacrificed to protect the freedoms we enjoy. On Election Day, we have an opportunity to exercise one of those freedoms and take an active role in our country’s future.
But the responsibility of citizenship goes well beyond the voting booth. It begins at home, where we teach our children kindness, respect, honesty, and the importance of doing their part.

Remember Me Wreath Sponsorship
|
The sponsorship of a Remember Me Wreath ensures that someone without living loved ones to remember them is not forgotten. This wreath will be sent to where it is most needed to be placed on the headstone of a U.S. servicemember by a volunteer in that community. Unlike regular sponsorships, these wreaths are distributed based on need rather than assigned to a specific location or group, supporting Wreaths Across America’s mission to honor and remember every veteran. Including a Remember Me Wreath extends your contribution by helping to honor heroes who might otherwise go unrecognized.

Share Veterans Day with Future Generations
Veterans Day is November 11.
|
Did you know? November 11 is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended World War I between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918-on the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month.
Share the history of Veterans Day and its enduring importance with a young person in your life. Download free lesson plans and activities from Wreaths Across America’s Teach Program at the button below.
