Canadian Thanksgiving 2026

Earlier this evening Branch 25 was present for this Digital Moose Lounge and Canadian Studies Program at the University of California, Berkeley – a beautifully curated Thanksgiving Dinner at the UC Berkeley Canadian Studies Alumni House. Members celebrated the special occasion with their Bay Area “family” with fallen leaves and fresh fall air on the patio in beautiful Berkeley.

The menu included:

Classic Thanksgiving turkey dinner with all the fixings
Two drink tickets to enjoy a curated selection of Canadian wine, beer and non-alcoholic options
A Selection of Desserts
Gluten-free and vegan/vegetarian options available
Raffle with fabulous prizes
Entertainment

Branch 25 was on hand to launch its annual Poppy Campaign.

Thank you to our hosts the Canadian Studies Program at the University of California, Berkeley and the Digital Moose Lounge, as well as the Canadian Consulate in San Francisco and Air Canada for their continued partnership with this special event!

I wanted to pass along this notice from the Digital Moose Lounge Chair, Sarah Price. The Moose have been great partners for our Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion for many, many years now.

At this particular event – the annual Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner – the Branch launches its annual Poppy Campaign at the dinner. So for those members in the Bay Area, please consider joining us and be sure to stop by the Branch’s table to say hi.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! 🇨🇦

To our fellow Canadians across the globe — and to our non-Canadian friends who join us in celebration year after year — we raise a glass to you. 🥂

This season, we’ve been inspired by the movement #ComeOverOctober, created by wine journalist Karen MacNeil and PR & communications veterans Gino Colangelo and Kimberly Noelle Charles. @comeoveroctober @karenmacneilco

The campaign encourages us all to “come over” throughout the month of October — to share wine, celebrate friendship, and cherish in-person connection. ✨

It’s a message that resonates deeply with us. ✨
Every year, we host our Canadian Thanksgiving Dinner at home — a cozy, laughter-filled evening with close friends (children included!). This year, our table featured wines from our North American online collection — Canada, the U.S., and Mexico — each bottle carrying a story of its own. 🍷

There were toasts, shared memories, and that unmistakable warmth that only comes from good people and great wine gathered together.

We’d also like to extend a heartfelt shout-out to our friends at The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 25 San Francisco Bay Area, and President Michael Barbour, for including us in their Poppy Campaign initiative. It’s an honor to participate. Each year, the Royal Canadian Legion conducts the Poppy Campaign, supported by thousands of volunteers from coast to coast to coast, raising vital funds in support of Veterans and their families. ❤️

Once again, it was a beautiful weather to enjoy the Canadian Thanksgiving dinner DML event. We want to thank you for joining us helping to keep those Canadian roots well nourished. A special shout out to our sponsors – The Canadian Consulate and the Berkeley Canadian Studies Program.
